(Henry Bolckow Centre)

Behind this green door is the HQ of the Friends of Stewart Park. There are many points of interest available from this location, they are listed below. Looking around you, (standing with your back to the door)you will see various buildings built of red brick, produced by Bolckow and Vaughan’s own company, with patterns using differing colours of brick and a variety of pointing methods. The roofs were  Welsh slate with a fish scale pattern. It all looked very English, but German architectural influence can be seen in the type of decoration used,( painted wooden barge boards)  and the size and position of some windows.

When you have explored this area, go back through the archway and turn to the left. Follow the path a little way and turn slightly right at the children's play area. You will find the next code attached to a waste bin.
